Books I have rated 1 out of five stars.

Things may seem a little slow…

It’s because I’m running out of book reviews to post. Once I DO run out, I’m not sure whether to continue posting as I review books (like my Tumblr) or going on hiatus for a bit and, once there’s a good amount piled up, go back to posting one-a-day.

I’m not sure D:

And we are back.

Took longer to fix than I thought, but review posting will start up again in about five minutes.

Short Hiatus

I’m being forced to go on a short hiatus from posting book reviews, my internet is down for the count (I’m currently using a friend’s internet) and the internet dude (i.e. my nerd boyfriend) won’t be around to fix is for a few days. Don’t worry though, it won’t be long! A week at the very most, I would think. In the meantime, you can go visit my Tumblr, which is completely up-to-date anyway.

I shall keep myself occupied by rereading my Harry Potter books!

Midnight Pearls: A Retelling of “The Little Mermaid”

Midnight Pearls: A Retelling of “The Little Mermaid” by Debbie Viguie.

I really did like this book at one point. Well, most of it. The beginning was interesting, the middle was intriguing, the ending … killed it. The ending was so bad, that I ended up hating the book more than I liked it, and I liked it a hell of a lot. I just can’t believe how she turned around like nothing happened…

I always say give a book a chance, and I’m not saying otherwise, but beware.

My rating: 1/5

Blood and Chocolate

Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause.

This was one of those books that was sort of good from beginning to middle, and then dove to rock bottom at the end. The story up until, oh, about the last chapter or two, was so-so. Vivian, the main character, certainly didn’t act like she was sixteen. If I had just read this without knowing her age, I probably would have thought her to be more around eighteen or so. Her thoughts are very … let’s just say mature. I don’t know, this book just seriously rubbed me the wrong way.

My rating: 1/5
